Study of novel solar assisted heating system

چکیده
The potential for energy, carbon dioxide equivalent (CO 2 e) and cost savings when using low emissivity (low-ε) transpired solar collectors (TSCs), combined with heat pumps in a range of configurations, has been investigated computer modelling. Low-ε TSCs consist metal collector plates spectrally sensitive surface, perforated holes. Ambient air is drawn through the holes heated by convection from plate, increasing temperature up to 25 K. can be used e.g. space heating, or pre-heating water buildings. models developed have compare performance low-ε TSC/heat pump heating systems small large buildings, at locations. model results showed CO e costs 16.4% an exhaust compared alone. Practical application: If UK meet its target reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions 2050, it will necessary adopt technologies. novel device contribute this. Its advantages include: (i) utilising radiation; (ii) readily integrated existing pumps; (iii) significant savings; (iv) device; (v) minimal energy input i.e. one fan; (vi) retrofitted buildings; (vii) benefits were applicable all (wide of) locations tested.
